The IMPHORAA project team came together for an online event on 20 March 2024 to provide details of how the project has delivered sustainable energy solutions to off-grid communities in Madagascar and The Philippines.
Nicolas Saincy from Nanoé was joined by TWI’s Dr Sadik Omairey and Georgios Liaptsis as well as Ivy Tubens and John Defensor from Quantum Leap Marketing for the event which provided information on the positive impact IMPHORAA has had for people living in rural communities.
The life-changing project has provided low‐cost nano-grid technology that delivers electricity to these areas with an environmentally-friendly solution as well as offering refrigeration and water pumping.
The easy-to-install system has enabled entrepreneurialism as well as providing many social benefits including improved living standards such as through electric light that allows children to study in the evenings and community empowerment through increased opportunities for socialising and support of female-led initiatives.
